Hi Christine,
I was searching for Samuel Harold Bruce Nicholls as his son George Grenville Nicholls was my grandfather. I found him in your family tree and apparently he lived to be 105. It also says he passed away in Wasaga Beach Ontario in 2001. Ironically I live in the same small town and never met or knew him. We always wondered what happened to my moms grand dad but now I read that he left Emily May the day their last child was born. I’m just trying to piece the puzzle together in my moms family line as we’ve always wondered. When Samuel Harold married Emily May Gendron in Penetang, he married into a recognized rights bearing Metis family line with history in Canada dating back into the mid 1700’s. It was as a result of that marriage to Emily May (Metis) that my family is now apart of that historic community. I’m compiling the family tree now and when I’m done I don’t mind sharing it with you.
