Nine chidren were born before the couple were married: Michel Antoine age 20 yrs., 4 mos.; Marie Louise bn. 25 Sept. 1800; Marie Anne Angelique bn. 1 Nov. 1804; Julie bn. 23 Jun. 1807, Elizabeth Agathe bn. 17 Dec. 1808; Elizabeth bn. 27 Jan. 1811; Paul bn. 29 Apr. 1813, Etienne bn. 24 Jun.1815 and Marquerite bn.8 Jun. 1817 are recognized as their legitmate issue by the ceremony. Now, it states in the entry above that there were 9 children born to this couple; however, a close examination of the few pages prior of page 305 and it reveals evidence that there were more likely 10 children. La Ronde, Charles, a titled gentleman who claimed descent from the Bourbons of France. Letters addressed to him always bore his title. One of his ancestors was Sieur Pierre Denys de la Ronde, who obtained a grant in the city of Quebec in 1658.
